Gabala International Music festival is an annual festival of classical music. Held every summer, beginning in 2009 in Gabala, Azerbaijan. With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Organized by Azerbaijan’s Culture and Tourism ministry and Music Union.

At this Festival, musicians perform in the open air. Participants have included musicians from Europe, the US, USSR and Israel.

Jazz and mugham evening were held along with classical music concerts.

2010 the festival was held on 19 August. Worth notices that General director of UNESCO Irina Bokova was in the opening ceremony of the festival. The festival began with the performance of overture from Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s Koroglu opera as in 2009.

Admittedly the festival raised Gabala’s profile as a tourist destination. Showed the region’s ongoing development.As well as promoting Azerbaijani music and its rich traditions.

As the result that the miraculous festival would give a fresh impetus to friendship among the countries represented. The event had showcased Azerbaijan’s scenery and music.
